Я люблю lists.

1. Last night post homework there was a small gathering for Hart's birthday. He's been in the program since last summer, so he's been here for over a year, and he basically knows everyone. It was fun, I didn't stay late, saw Erin D. quickly afterwards and her friend Masha again. Then I went home to witness typical family chaos -- Katya and her friend were trying to leave to catch the metro before it closed, but Olga couldn't find the money she wanted to give to Katya or something (I didn't understand it all) and then there was the horrible realization that the money was in the pocket of the pants that were now in the washing machine..... water on the floor, exclamations, etc, etc, etc, issue finally resolved, I can't even say how many times that has happened in my family. Some things are universal. At least to families with washing machines.

2. Today..... school, then Abby came by Smolny at 3pm and we went to the infamous flea market at Удельная that Carly and Laura talked so much about. Because it was a weekday it was mostly clothing and shoes, and Abby and I witnessed a woman wearing no pants in the middle of the flea market trying on clothes. I did find a "Россия Паспорт" passport holder for my documents (15r) to keep all my documents in order. I also bought my first two souvenir presents for people but I'm not saying who they're for or what they are because you don't get them until January 2009 at the absolute earliest so, ha, suck it up.

3. After the flea market, Abby and I went to Erin's apartment to say bye before she leaves tomorrow at 5pm. We hung out for 2 hours and drank about a gallon of tea each and talked about the usual nonsense -- fullbrights, the Wellesley Russian department, what to do with a Russian major, etc. Erin also panned off some old clothes and books and Febreeze she was getting rid of to me and Abby -- thanks, Erin, just what I needed was about 5 more heavy books. Though she also gave me Labyrinth in Russian which is hilarious and I can't wait to watch. Also the other day I saw Super Bad in Russian and was tempted to buy it. Maybe I will.

4. And after Erin's we briefly saw Malina & Molly and sat with them in a cafe and then I came home and did the usual homework, bathing, writing, etc.

5. I'm tired. Good night.
