Some gems from грамматика that I forgot to mention yesterday:
Upon seeing me yawn, "Oh, I understand, Liza, I understand. Every morning I wake up and I ask myself: for what do we study?"
Upon being very adamant about making sure we get our grammar correct, "Today I'm a dictator! Like Mussolini! No, better Hitler. I never really liked Mussolini."
Upon asking me to finish the sentence "The monarch asked that...." and me, being tired, unable to think of anything, "Well, of course it's hard for you to think of what a monarch wants. You don't have a monarchy in your country. But we do!"
