Why, hello. Or should I say привет?

So, this is it.

This site is going to be my stereotypical college-kid-abroad blog for the next year.

I generally find mass-emails annoying, so I thought it would be nicer for all of you to have a place to check if you want or ignore if you prefer instead of me filling your inboxes daily with eight paragraphs about every detail of my life in Russia. I try not to overshare too much.

So, here you are. Reading this. I leave on June 12th for the Bard-Smolny Summer Language Intensive. I'll be flying out of JFK with a bunch of kids I've never met before, arriving in St. Petersburg on June 13th. And then I will be there..... for a really long time.

This will be your way to check in, my mom's way to make sure I'm still alive, etc, etc, etc.
